Never have I ever book tag

Hi guys! Welcome to my first official post! First off, if you’re doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) yay! I’m doing it too, so good luck! Also, for all of the Keeper of the Lost Cities lovers out there, the next book is coming out on Tuesday!

Before I start this tag, I would like to thank Paper Hearts because that’s where I saw this tag. Also, thanks to Madame Writer for creating this tag in the first place!

Never have I ever… read a later book in a series before reading the first book

The only book I’ve done that with is Sherlock Holmes… to be honest, to I haven’t read The Study in Scarlet yet, but I’ve read at least ten of the other books/short stories (I know, shame on me I need to read that soon!).

Never have I ever… burned a book

I would never do that… although I have been tempted by my math books.

Never have I ever… read a book that I knew I would hate

If we’re talking about just for fun, no I haven’t done that. But if we’re talking about for school, I read Watership Down, and I was pretty sure that I wouldn’t like it.

Never have I ever… written a fanfiction about my favorite books

I haven’t done that yet. I’m not really interested in writing fanfiction. I do like reading it sometimes though.

Never have I ever… loved a book when I was young, and then hated it when I got older

There are plenty of examples for this one, Boxcar children just lost its suspense, as well as the Calendar and A to Z mysteries. By the way, I don’t “hate” those books, they just don’t interest me anymore.

Never have I ever… dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters

Indirectly, yes. My friend and I dressed up as “Team Leo” from Percy Jackson, but that was more of a reference to the book, because we weren’t dressing up as any one of the actual characters. We just put this logo on our shirts.

Never have I ever… hated a book by an author I love

No. The only time that can come close to that, is when you read a great series by a great author, and then they mess up the ending of an otherwise great book.

Never have I ever gone into a bookstore and come out with many more

I never go into the bookstore to get just one book. I go in to get two, at a minimum, and then come out with more.

Never have I ever… read the ending of a book before reading the beginning

No. I’ve never done that.

Never have I ever… read a book without the dust cover

Yes, I usually try to keep them on, but they can sometimes be so annoying.

Never have I ever… skim read nearly half a book

No. Not even for a school book.
