Hi guys!
Pretty much every avid reader struggles/has struggled with their To Be Read list. We all have felt the pressure of how on earth we’re going to finish all of our books in a lifetime, let alone a year. How are we ever going to decide? It’s easy to get overwhelmed, especially when you’re adding more books to your reading list then you’re actually reading.
I’m not going to say I have the perfect solution, as different things work for different people. I’m a super organized nerd, so this might seem a bit overwhelming, but I’ll tell you what I do.
I created a google doc, and I organized all of my books into genres with linked headings. I also organized the genres and the books inside them alphabetically.

I also write down books I’ve already read. I don’t bother alphabetizing these though. I’ve read more than this, but that’s all I could fit in the screenshot.

Recently, I also added the books I’ve already read and some of my most wanted to reads to my Pinterest, organized by genres.
That way, when I want to go and pick a book to read, I either browse my Pinterest boards or my google doc and pic a few books from whatever genre I’m feeling at the moment. That way, if I need to decide books quickly, it’s organized and ready to go.
Then, if I get another book to read, I either put it on my notes, or immediately add it to my TBR, depending on how much time I have.
I hope that helps!
How do you guys deal with your TBR lists, if you have them?

I use an app 🙂
It’s nice, except it has made it too easy for me to add hundreds of books.
