Reindeer Books

Hi guys! Today I’m going to share books that have to do with reindeer, typical Christmas favorite. I could go on to talk about all of the usual Christmas books with them in it: Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Twas the night before Christmas, etc. , but I’m not going to do those. You can check out my post about the more scientific side of reindeer on All Creatures Great and Small here.

The Wild Christmas Reindeer by Jan Brett

As you know, I’m a huge Jan Brett fan, so I had to add this one. Teeka is in charge of getting Santa’s reindeer ready for Christmas. She tried yelling at them to get ready, but that only got them tangled up. She must figure out what to do with the impossibly stubborn reindeer before Christmas arrives.

The Reindeer Wish by Lori Evert

This book is about Anji, a girl who discovers an abandoned reindeer baby in the woods and takes care of it (don’t do this at home, kids). They become friends and have many adventures, but eventually the reindeer wants to go live with other reindeer, so she leads him to become one of Santa’s reindeer.

Reindeer Christmas by Paula Wiseman

Reindeer Christmas is about a grandmother and her grandchildren who find a weak reindeer and care for it. They care for him, completely unaware of the surprise that awaits them on Christmas.

Happy holidays!
