Girls of July by Alex Flinn

Hi guys! I said that I was going to do a Girls of July review a couple of weeks ago, so here it is. It was my first book club book, so that was fun.

Synopsis

Meet Meredith, the studious overachiever looking for an escape. Britta, the talkative, dramatic girl looking to find friends. Spider, the aspiring screenwriter and film director looking to overcome pain. And Kate, the soon to be debutante looking for a way out of high society.

When all four girls are crammed in a cabin in the Adirondacks for am month, what could happen? Add in a grandmother, her long lost lover, and a photography loving, school hating boy and you’ve got one heck of a July. Drama and hidden secrets unfold as the month comes to a close.

Characters

The characters were the main part of the book. I really liked all of them, especially Meredith.

Plot

The plot was really cliché and fell lower than the characters.

Rating

Initially my review was 4.5 stars, and now it’s 3 stars. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either.

Have you read this book before? Did you like this review? Let me know in the comments!
